The 2014 Winter Beach Ball Event put on by the Auxiliary of EMMC was held at the new Cross Insurance Center. This year the proceeds went to EMMC’s Heroes Hope & Healing to help establish EMMC’s Children’s Cancer and Treatment Center at Lafayette Family Center in Brewer. Fun was had by all!
In January, Nurse Anesthesia of Maine hosted a huge party for our newest CRNAs: Sandi, Tom, Chad, and Scott (not pictured). Sandi and Scott joined the NAMe family in December and Tom and Chad joined in January.

In August, a group of Nurse Anesthesia of Maine’s CRNAs attended the 80th AANA Meeting in Las Vegas.
I think a good time was had by all, but of course, ‘what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas’, but a few pictures did find their way to us!

A team from Nurse Anesthesia of Maine walked in Bangor’s Komen Race for the Cure in September. Over 3,500 people attended the event on Bangor’s Waterfront. NAMe has sponsored a team for this event for several years.
Nurse Anesthesia of Maine once again participated in Pumpkins in the Park,
a fund raising event for United Cerebral Palsy. Several area companies set up booths for children to Trick or Treat. Our booth was Dr. Frankenstein’s Laboratory, in which the kids had to reach in to the monster’s heart grab their candy. We were a very popular booth, and came in 3rd Place for the overall judging!
